Wolfsburg v Fulham
Verdict: Following the first leg in London, Fulham take a slender 2-1 advantage to Germany in search of a Europa Cup semi-final berth. It was quite an open game in London with both sides creating numerous scoring opportunities. The total of 22 shots on target from both sides was indicative of the open nature of the contest.
Wolfsburg know that a 1-0 result will be enough to see them progress but it is a risky tactic to adopt as a 1-1 draw will see the English side through. The German side have been the form team in the Bundesliga with 6 wins from their last 7 matches, amassing 16 goals in the process. Ofcoarse, league form doesn't always translate to European Cup competition but Wolfsburg are an exception to the rule. Fulham have struggled domestically as they have perhaps abandonded their league aspirations to concentrate on Europe. The visitors lose Dempsey through injury but star man Zamora is almost certain to start. The Londonders have surprised many this season and they go into this game with a fighting chance of progressing, knowing they have scored at CSKA Sofia, Roma, Basel, Shaktar Donetsk, and Juventus in this edition of the Europa League.
I feel there's a chance that both teams will get on the scoresheet here.
Pick: Over 2.75 goals @1.82 (sbobet, 10 units)
Wolfsburg 0 - 1 Fulham
